CHURCH ACTIVITY



T
he purpose of the missionary Ladies group arising within the Haitian First Church of the Brethren is to witness by word and deed, at home and abroad, to our
beliefs, so that others may come to know and live the truth through evangelization.  The missionary ladies group is duly responsible to give their full attention in
sponsoring and supporting all new born in Christ in order for them grow spiritually.  The ladies’ group will also be responsible to oversee the janitorial, social and
cultural

operations of the church. Responsibilities include:

Evangelization  Home visit, hospital and prison visit.

•        Sponsor/support  Communicate and correspond
                                 with newborn members regularly in all aspects and matters
and perform as liaison between the committee and the newborn.

• Janitorial operation   Cleaning,flower arrangements,

•        Social & cultural operations

Not limited to helping people  in need in all aspects such
                                 as communion, washing of feet preparation, marriage, anniversary, birthday etc…


Duties, functions and responsibilities of:

The President

1. Is the head of the missionary ladies group.
2. Manages and oversees the operations of the group.
3. Is responsible to submit all monthly reports to the board of directors.

The Vice-President

1.  Assumes the President’s responsibility in her absence.

2. Assists the President and function as a counselor in all decision making.

The Secretary

Writes and generates all reports: i.e attendance, offerings and visitation. The Treasurer

Is full responsible for collecting, ensuring safety keeping of money.  She is also responsible to keep all receipts and record all expenses within the group.


The Counselor

Responsible to provide helps opinion and give advice to member and staff.

MISSIONARY MEN

The purpose of the missionary men group within the Haitian First Church of the Brethren is to witness by word and deed, at home, on the street and abroad, to our
beliefs, so that others may come to know and live the truth through evangelization.  Missionary men group promises to best serve God the church and the
community as necessary.  The work carried out by missionary men of the Haitian First Church directs more toward street evangelization, outreach and vocational
services within the East Flatbush community and others.

Responsibilities include:

•        Evangelization                        Home visit, hospital and
                                         prison visit;
•        Janitorial operation        Cleaning, maintenance,
arrangements, small repairs,
helping others.

•        Social & cultural operations        

But not limited to helping people in need in all aspects such marriage, anniversary, birthday.

Duties, functions and responsibilities of:

The President

3.        Is responsible to submit all monthly reports to the board of directors or coordinator.

         Is full responsible for collecting, ensuring safety keeping of money.  She is also responsible to keep all receipts and record all expenses within the group.

MISSION STATEMENT OF SUNDAY SCHOOL

It is to instruct and teach the members to enrich the spiritual knowledge & moral.

Duties, functions and responsibilities of:

The Surintendant

1.        Is the head of the Sunday school program/group.

2.        Is responsible to open and close Sunday School.

3.        Supervises all classes.

4.        Prepares all lessons with all teachers.

5.        Assists each class for at least 10 minutes.

6.        Monitors and keeps track of absentees.

7.        Replaces leader in case of absentee.



The Secretary

Writes and generates all reports: i.e attendance, offerings. Assistant Secretary

 Assists the secretary and replaces the Secretary in case of his/her absence.

Sunday school teacher/Assistant Sunday school teacher:

 Teaches his/her class, monitors and keeps track attendance and collects offering.


YOUTH GROUP

The purpose of the youth group is to teach the word of God through conferences, seminars, training and recreation programs.  T
he group is also responsible to educate and prepare young people in the community of Brooklyn to worship, preach and evangelize.

Responsabilities include:

•        Evangelization                                Home visit, hospital and
prison visit.

•        Janitorial operation                Cleaning, flower
                                         arrangements, etc…

•        Social & cultural operations        
But not limited to
                                         helping people in need
                                         in all aspects such
                                         marriage, anniversary,
                                         birthday, organizing
                                         trip, field visits etc…

MUSIC GROUP

The music group has two purposes in the advancement of the church.  The first purpose is music that aims to bring melody and harmony to which hymns are sung
in the church by selecting simple tunes from many sources arranging them to fit the hymns and psalms used in the services.  The second purpose is the choir
whose objective to witness by singing in the church, at a concert and other churches, to our beliefs, so that others may come to know and live the true gospel.

Responsibilities include:

•        Evangelization                Plays spiritual hymns, melodies
and harmonies of popular gospel music.

•        Operation  Ensures security and proper use of all instruments and equipment.

•        Janitorial operation        Cleaning the church, flower
                                 arrangements, etc…

•        Social & cultural operations

                                 Not limited to helping
people in need in all aspects such as marriage, anniversary, birthday etc…
